Custom 3D Printer 1 and 2

This is the result of what happens when you want to explore the challenge of wanting to make a 3D printer by yourself. Even if it is based on an already existing printer.

The First Version

Like i have said earlier this was a way of challenging myself based on what i already knew about designing and "making" something and seeing that everything fit together. I was in a position at my job at the time where i was using a CNC machine that had four axes to work with. This meant making more complex parts that would otherwise need multiple set ups to make. I already had a printer or two to make certain parts that were acceptable to be printed. Mainly due to how complex certain parts were and how they would be used structurally.

As you can see in the images above, that was the first version, and i will say this, it was challenging. Making everything line up with each other was a took time. There was some frustrating moments as well, but they got resolved. For the first version i used 3D models from an existing 3D printer, some may recognize it. The famous Prusa i3 printer. And believe it or not, i did manage to make this. Now, i unfortunately do not have all of it documented. But here is what i got.

Not all the steps, but some pictures throughout the building process. I did this at my previous work place, hence the workshop look of everything in the background.
